Most people tend to associate the “Hero” title with their dads. In my case though (and probably in your case too), it’s my mom who usually does the saving. Don’t get me wrong. My dad plays a big part in the rescue too but mostly, when I get caught in some serious trouble, it’s my mom who “flies” to save my ass. And I guess that makes her worthier of the title. Well, alright, she doesn’t actually wear a star-spangled boob tube or a pair of bullet-deflecting bracelets but that doesn’t mean she can’t pass as a hero.

Pretty much like the heroes you see in films or read in comic books, my mom never ceases to fulfill her duties. She always makes it a point to put my desires before her own. She never fails to lend me a hand whenever I need one. She’s a strategist because she always finds a way to get me out of difficulty. She’s a source of strength and motivation. She’s basically the same as those stereotypical heroes except for one amazing thing: she really does exist! See, she’s not just a figment of some artist’s imagination. This hero I’m talking about is for real. And until recently, I wasn’t aware that I’ve been living my whole life with a supermom. This makes me realize how stupid and lucky I’ve been. Stupid for not acknowledging her efforts most of the time and lucky for having someone to put up with such attitude of mine. Our moms can be really irritating sometimes but you see, not everyone is lucky enough to have their own. No matter how annoying she can be when she plays Candy Crush for hours or when she goes gaga over John Lloyd Cruz (wth he’s not even good-looking), she’s still and will always be the person who never gets tired of doing everything for me. :)) Happy mother’s day to you my heroine. :)

purposefully performed a confundus charm on whatshsface WHILE HE WAS FLYING just so Ron would win (omfg that is so fucking dangerous)

literally pulled a fucking Bourne Identity on her parents and managed to set them up in fucking Australia (jesus christ she literally made it so that she NEVER EXISTED wtf that’s so fucking 007)

Convinced the Ministry of Magic to give her an incredibly dangerous and volatile device that allowed her to ALTER TIMELINES COMPLETELY (just because she was so smart, literally, that is the reason, her “potential”)

Has enough basic survival skills and badass magic to literally disappear to the middle of nowhere and flourish AND figure out Voldemort’s plot with Harry

Hermione also figures out not only what Voldemort’s plan is, but generally how to beat it, WAY BEFORE VOLDEMORT EVER DOES. Why? because she is just that much smarter and better at magic than everybody else

in conclusion: Voldemort wishes he could be as awesome as Hermione, that’s why he wants to kill her so bad.

Can we rehave this series with hermione as the protagonist.

Much to my relief, I received good grades in my subjects last semester. I got 2 in both Math and English, the two courses that fucked up my college life. Finally, adios amigos! I thought of having a month-long celebration but I realized later that time would be better spent taking summer classes (ew). I’m still in the process of enrolling like half the students in my school are. I was supposed to settle everything on Friday but OSA, where we get clearance and stuff, closed too early and promised to continue their shitty service on Monday. I’m taking Physics and some Math course this summer by the way.

People have been bragging about their graduation photos on Facebook these past few weeks. I understand that they can’t help feeling so proud of themselves but they don’t have the faintest idea how depressing it is for me to see such photographs. I’m in danger of staying longer in the university and not graduating on time, you know. :( But I digress.

I think I got the GWA needed to transfer to a different campus but I don’t think transferring now will be plausible. Besides, my parents are really against it. They have been discouraging me to proceed with my plan. Shifting/transferring will require me to sacrifice a handful of academic units and it means I’m gonna need to stay much much longer in the university to finish an undergraduate degree. If I were to stick to this plan, what are my odds of making it to the 2016 Commencement Exercises? It’s too late to turn back now.

Anyway, this is going to be my first summer in LB. It’s snowing cotton balls in the campus. I’m thinking of being all resourceful and collecting them to make myself a new pillow. lol. What do you think?

After the celebration, we went to Bonifacio High Street to get a drink then we chanced upon some sort of art exhibit entitled Walkway: Reflections on the Stations of the Cross. We saw people facing mirrors, writing names on green pieces of cloth and taking turns carrying a big cross. Well, to be honest, I’m not familiar with the stations. All I know is there are twelve of them. I guess I need to brush my biblical knowledge up a bit. But, correct me if I’m wrong, I don’t think the twelve stations are actually specified in the bible.

Last Wednesday, we threw a surprise party/dinner for my grandpa’s 78th and grandma’s 77th birthdays. It was held at Seafood Island, which I think is very ironic because a lot of us are allergic to shellfish.

I think the last time I ate such food was in grade school and I suffered from severe eye itching I had to take meds. I wanted to try if I would still get the same reaction (very stupid, I know) so I had A PIECE of shrimp. And voila, swollen lower lip! :) It was nothing serious, though. lol.
